The enlightened journey of life. The enLIFEned podcast is not just about personal development or spirituality, we are going deeper and broader and my gosh we are going to have a blast along the way.I am all about living the enlightened journey of life. It’s funny because there’s so much talk about ‘enlightenment’ and by trying to reach that state of being, we end up bypassing life! We are here, on earth, in this time and space in human form and the time is so short, and you'll come away feeling motivated, empowered and inspired to live your best possible life! You’re going to hear stories, musings, and experiences from me personally, and I will be interviewing some absolutely epic humans that I know you’re going to love. We’ll be going to places that will transform how you think, how you view the world and there will be invitations to dive deep and do some self-enquiry so that you can come away from each episode feeling nourished in your soul! Nothing will be off the table here! Be prepared for some raw, authentic, and vulnerable discussions, very likely explicit language and some pretty out there and woo woo things!! I am a giver and I want to give you so much epicness, not only through the airwaves but I will be releasing exclusive content for listeners to access AND prizes and giveaways!

Ep 77 – Activating your voice, writing political musicals and the magic of performance with Deirdre Murphy
Deirdre Murphy is a musician, interdisciplinary artist, and neuro-somatic coach. She grew up in rural Alaska with a profound connection to nature, and lived and travelled throughout the US before moving to Ireland. She is the creator of many original works of music, dance, theatre, circus, and performance art, including the circus musical Capitalism: The Musical (2017), a synthesis of work in theatre, circus, dance, music and activism. The musical toured Ireland and Italy to sold out houses and has been translated into Italian.
Deirdre's first passion lies in dance and the body, and she is a lifelong practitioner and teacher of movement technique and bodywork. She plays guitar and ukulele and uses a loop station and DAW, and writes and performs spoken word vignettes. She has written more than 60 songs, and is known for the poetry and wordplay of her lyrics. Deirdre has worked as an aerialist, taught acrobatics internationally at circus festivals and workshops, and has designed costumes and sound for theatre. She makes her own merchandise, and draws inspiration from the Sheela na Gig icon found carved into stone all over Ireland - a symbol of women's generative power. Her work has toured and performed in Canada, Germany, Italy, the UK and throughout the USA.
Through her creative practice, Deirdre aspires to present the ideal of each individual’s right to the very highest level of human rights - while engaging in comical mishaps, awkward timing etc.
